Bryce James is the son of Los Angeles Lakers Champion LeBron James and has proven that he has the skill to carry the family name into the next generation of basketball.

Although he may not be the first of LeBron James’s children to show their talent on the court, he is proving to be the tallest and one of the most competitive.

The youngest James son may have been hiding in his older brother’s shadow for years, but his recent growth spurt and public games have basketball fans wondering if the younger brother will be one to take up the family legacy.

How Tall Is Bryce James?

Thinking teenager

Bryce James was listed at 6’4” as of December of 2021, but he is also only 14 years old and still growing.

This teenage athletic star was born on June 14th of 2007 and currently attends Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California.

Before attending Sierra Canyon School, James attended Old Trail School in Bath Township, Ohio.

He was transferred to Sierra Canyon School on May 29th of 2019.

Since the young basketball star is only a freshman in high school, he has yet to decide which college he wants to attend.

Luckily, he has plenty of time to decide and grow as a basketball player on his high school team.

Bryce James has played a variety of sports over the years, mostly basketball and soccer.

LeBron James would not allow either of his sons to play ice hockey or football because he was worried about the risk of serious injury.

From an early age, James even played basketball for the Amateur Athletic Union.

For years, Bryce James has been following in his brother’s footsteps.

When Bronny James noticed that his younger brother had caught up to him in height, he took to Instagram to show the world the shocking revelation.

It’s clear that Byrce James is at least his brother’s height, but some may argue that the younger brother is even taller than his older brother.

Since the boys have a father who is 6’9” and they’re still young, they have plenty of time and the right genetics to grow to National Basketball Association heights.

Despite only being in his freshman year of high school basketball, young James has proven that his skills match the notoriety that comes with his family name.

College teams and LeBron James fans alike are watching Bryce James’s career with hopeful interest.

Bronny James is currently listed at 6’3” and weighs 180 pounds.

Like his younger brother, he also attends Sierra Canyon School and plays for the prestigious private school’s senior basketball team.

LeBron James Jr., better known as Bronny James, was born on October 6th of 2004 when LeBron James was 19 years old and Savannah James was 18 years old.

Both of his parents played an incredibly active role in his life, and he was even able to witness them get married in 2013.

Bronny James tried his hand at every sport his father would let him but spent most of his life playing basketball and soccer.

When he was only nine years old, James played a game for the Miami City Ballers that was observed by Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari.

James’s own basketball career was brought to the public’s attention in 2014 when he was featured in a highlight reel.

Only a year later, the young basketball star led the Gulf Coast Blue Chips to a fourth-grade championship at the League Dallas during the Hype Sports Summer Jam.

By February of 2018, James was leading the middle school basketball team at Old Trail School all the way to an Independent School League tournament victory.

James also played for multiple Amateur Athletic Union teams.

Bronny James has been receiving college offers since he was a child.

He has gotten so many scholarship offers that his father has commented, “It should be a violation. You shouldn’t be recruiting 10-year-old kids.”

Bronny James is currently interested in attending the University of Kentucky, Duke University, the University of Kansas, the University of North Carolina, or the University of California Los Angeles.

The only school to offer him a scholarship has been the University of Kentucky.

How Zhuri James Became An Online Superstar

While her older brothers may be tearing up the court, Zhuri James has become an internet celebrity thanks to her YouTube channel All Things Zhuri.

The youngest child of the legendary basketball star seems to have her whole family wrapped around her finger.

Although Zhuri James and her parents started with a YouTube channel, the youngest James’s love of dancing has allowed her to excel on TikTok as well.

Fans can frequently find her dancing alongside her family and her dance instructor.

Not only is Zhuri James a social media star, but she is also a model.

She has modeled for the children’s clothing brand, Janie and Jack.

She was the poster child for their collaboration with Disney to create formal gowns for young girls inspired by Disney princesses.

When LeBron James took to the red carpet for the premiere of Space Jam: A New Legacy, Zhuri and Savannah James were his dates for the night.

Zhuri James has even hosted Harlem’s Fashion Row X Janie and Jack show.

Just because Zhuri James may not be on the basketball court doesn’t mean that she gets to be lazy.

LeBron James loves to turn his time working out into opportunities to bond with his daughter, and he loves having her as his little workout partner.

While Zhuri may not be allowed to slack, her father is infamous for giving his daughter the very best.

LeBron James once took his daughter out for dinner after his 56-point game against the Warriors simply because she asked.

James was eager to post pictures of his dinner date, who requested that they go out for food shortly after her father left the court.

While his playing was impressive that night, the fact that he had the energy to go out afterward is just as impressive.

Kobe Bryant’s Thoughts On The James Brothers

As both Bronny and Bryce James have shown off their athletic prowess, the world of professional sports is an excellent way to see a professional athlete dynasty start with LeBron James’s family.

While most viewers have praised the teenage players for dedication and skill, there have been some critics of the way the James boys play.

LeBron James has played a major role in his sons’ basketball careers, training them to the best of his ability and helping them achieve greater heights from an earlier age than he did.

However, Kobe Bryant had his own thoughts on the young players.

Kobe Bryant once told Gloria James, LeBron James’s mother, that she needed to send her grandsons his way so he could fix their passiveness.

Bryant claimed that the boys passed too much and blamed James’s tendency to set up assists for his teammates over going for the score himself.

Although Bryant may have critiqued Bronny and Bryce’s likeness to their father, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James had a great relationship.

During their time on the “Redeem Team,” James and Bryant became close friends.

The pair shared a great amount of respect for one another, and Bryant was glad to pass down the title of elder statesman to James during his final season of playing.

Although the boys were never sent by their grandmother to Kobe Bryant’s house to train, their basketball abilities have become more refined.

Bryce James may still mimic his father, but Bronny James has become much more aggressive when on the court.

The younger brother is still determined to heed the late basketball legend’s advice and has started his high school basketball career with a much lower level of passiveness than his elder brother did.

These boys have had many great influences to watch over their basketball careers.

The Sibling Rivalry

Bryce James and Bronny James have a healthy sibling rivalry that allows them to learn from each other’s mistakes and define who they are as individual basketball players rather than the sons of a basketball legend.

LeBron James is always eager to boast about his elder son’s potential as a professional player.

He has so much belief in Bronny as a player that LeBron James is planning on playing professionally long enough to play alongside his son.

LeBron has gone as far as to claim that his final season will be the one that he plays alongside Bryce James, which many fans believe essentially secures Bronny James a spot in the National Basketball Association.

Although Bronny James has lived his entire life in his father’s shadow, he isn’t the same type of basketball player as LeBron James.

Bronny James is a defense-first guard that has no problem blocking the opposite team’s point guard.

While his father and younger brother prefer to initiate offensive plays, Bronny James will space the floor and make fast decisions when passing to his teammates.

Although there’s no denying that Bronny James has an incredible shooting range, his father claims that his younger brother Bryce is the best shooter in the James family.

Not only can Bryce James shoot the best out of his athletic family, but he can also get some incredible vertical distance.

The younger of the James brothers plays just like his father and tends to show many of the same player traits.

With Bryce James’s newfound height and ever-evolving skill, he is shaping up to be one of the best new athletes that the National Basketball Association has seen since his father.

Luckily, the professional league doesn’t have to choose between the brothers because it has enough room for the entire All-Star family

LeBron James Playing Alongside His Son

Basketball fans are confident that the James brothers have what it takes to become National Basketball Association All-Stars, but fans are less confident that their legendary father will be able to last long enough in the league to achieve his dream of playing alongside his sons.

LeBron James had Bronny James when he was only 19 years old.

Since that time, LeBron James has become one of the biggest names in the National Basketball Association and the thought of LeBron James playing long enough to see Bronny James play alongside him would mean that he would have to be playing professionally for nearly 20 years, which has led some to compare James’s career to that of Peyton Manning.

LeBron James has been eager to boast about his son’s progress and believes that he has what it takes to make a name for himself in the world of professional basketball.

National Basketball Association insider Brian Windhorst had his own thoughts on young James’s career.

Windhorst had seen him play in person and was quick to point out just how incredibly LeBron James Jr. had trained his body.

His father had young James working out by the time he was 10 years old, despite not having picked up a single weight himself until he was 16 years old.

Although Windhorst praised James’s physical condition, he wasn’t certain that Bronny James had what it took to make it to the professional league.

Windhorst wasn’t even sure that James would go on to play basketball in college but knew that James would be given an excellent offer if he decided to play at the college level.

At this time, Bronny James is considered a four-star prospect, and there have not been many four-star prospects to join the National Basketball Association.

Who Is Bryce James’s Godfather?

Chris Paul is the godfather of both Bryce James and Bronny James, after sharing a close friendship with LeBron James for decades.

James and Paul have been friends since James was a junior in high school and Paul was a sophomore.

The pair met while playing in the same Amateur Athletic Union tournament in Orlando, Florida.

They had actually first met when they were in 8th grade but didn’t formally get to know each other until high school.

Chris Paul stopped what he was doing to support LeBron and Savannah James when Bryce was born, which was the night before the National Basketball Association finals against the Spurs.

James jokingly blames his lack of sleep from the night before as the reason he did so poorly during the game.

Despite having lost the championship, LeBron James still felt like a winner at the time thanks to the successful birth of his healthy son.

He also knew that he had Chris Paul’s support, which meant the world to him at the time and was the reason that Paul became Bryce James’s godfather.

Chris Paul, also known as the Point God, started his basketball career with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2005 and played for the team until 2011 when he joined the Los Angeles Clippers.

After spending six years with the Clippers, Paul joined the Houston Rockets in 2017.

In 2019, Paul began playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He currently serves as a guard for the Phoenix Suns and represents the #3.

Paul has earned two Olympic gold medals and has been named the National Basketball Association’s All-Star Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year.

Not only does Bryce James have his father’s influence, but he has the basketball influence of his godfather as well.

How LeBron James’s Children Changed His Life

LeBron James is proud of the career he has created for himself and the reputation that he has earned as both an athlete and a celebrity, but he is most proud of his title as a father.

His wife and children are incredibly important to him.

Unlike his own children, LeBron James grew up with a completely absent father and had to rely on his young single mother.

For years, he was angry at his father because of the pain he had put him and his mother through.

Rather than let that anger fester inside him, he decided to channel that same energy into being the best father possible for his three children.

As James got older, he began to question how much control his father had over the situation and what it must have been like to become a father so young while you had little to no finances.

LeBron James goes out of his way to praise each of the children and support their dreams.

He wants to give them everything that they need to lead their own lives and follow their dreams without the fear of abandonment.

James acknowledges that he wouldn’t be the father he is today without the lack of the kind of father that he always wanted as a child.

Becoming a father has allowed the basketball legend to heal from his childhood pain and grow more compassionate toward people in similar situations.

He has also learned the value of having a strong and healthy parent-child bond, which is something he loves to show off on social media.

James wants to inspire more fathers to play bigger roles in their children’s lives.

With their father getting older with each passing year, both Bryce and Bronny James should prepare to take the All-Star torch from their father.

Basketball fans would love to see what a father-son combo or even sibling tag team could accomplish.

Bryce and Bronny James both have a strong sense of self-discipline ingrained in them that will allow them to become incredible athletes as long as they stay loyal to their father’s teachings.

Fans from around the country are rooting for the James family.
