Xtra Time Web Desk : Former Kolkata Knight Riders skipper and current Royal Challengers Bangalore wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik on Wednesday opened up on how he is preparing in order to face his former side in their second match of the tournament.
Talking about his old franchise in an RCB show, the Tamil Nadu cricketer said, “Been there for you know good four years. Terrific memories in those four years. I enjoyed the team. You know lot of respect for everybody in the backroom staff. The CEO is somebody who is very close to me and very personal. So putting all those things into consideration, you know you’ve to be very honest, I’m very very nervous. It’s like I was in a old school and shifted and now I’m playing against the old school. It feels a little different. I’m excited at the same time nervous would be a more apt word at this time,”
“One of the keys obviously from a batting point of view is to tackle Narine and Varun. They have troubled all the batters in IPL. I have given them my two cents and we will know how good will that be in terms of how we play them tomorrow,” further added the 2007 T20 World Cup winner.
Now, with Karthik about to face KKR, it will be a very interesting duel for the IPL fans all over the world.
