Nonprofit collects 3,500 sports balls for law enforcement to pass out to kids

A Central Florida nonprofit gathered far more than 3,500 sports activities balls to be donated to law enforcement companies to assistance them foster constructive associations with kids.

Increase Central Florida is set to pass out the balls, which were being gathered above the previous month, to 29 businesses on Thursday.

The organization’s mission is to make a positive difference in children’s lives by increasing opportunities for physical activity and healthy living.

Members of law enforcement are given the balls to pass out to kids to help foster positive relationships between officers and the young community members they serve.

“These are all pivotal tools that help us connect with the youth in our community and encourage them to get out and be active,” Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma said. “We are so grateful for this continued partnership and for helping us build meaningful relationships with the children and teenagers in our community.”
